Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s Visit to Qatar

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif departed for Doha, the capital of Qatar, on a one-day official visit.

On 15 September 2025, the Prime Minister will participate in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit being held in Doha.

The summit has been convened in response to Israel’s airstrikes on Doha and the continuously worsening situation of human rights violations in Palestine.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi are accompanying the Prime Minister as part of the high-level delegation.

Heads of state and senior officials of OIC member countries are also expected to attend the summit.

Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Qatar and strongly condemns Israeli aggression against Qatar and other regional states. On 11 September 2025, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha to express solidarity with Qatar, reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering support for Qatar’s security and sovereignty, and convey Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in the Middle East.

The participation of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and other Muslim leaders in the emergency summit being held in Doha on 15 September reflects the strong unity of the Muslim Ummah and the steadfast resolve to establish regional peace.
