The dinner was organized by Congressman Henry Cuellar and Maxine Waters, the leading member of the House Financial Services Committee. During the dinner, discussions took place between Mohsin Naqvi and the Congress members on matters of mutual interest and Pakistan-U.S. bilateral relations. A detailed conversation was held regarding Pakistan’s economy and the IMF program. Emphasis was placed on increasing mutual contacts to promote Pakistan-U.S. relations. Minister Mohsin Naqvi extended an invitation to the Congress members to visit Pakistan. The Pakistani community in the U.S. plays a prominent role in various sectors, and Mohsin Naqvi commended the services of overseas Pakistanis for both the U.S. economy and improving Pakistan’s economic situation. Renowned Pakistani-American businessman Tahir Javed and Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, were also present on the occasion.
