Over the years, UN peacekeeping has evolved into a dynamic tool that assists nations in transitioning from conflict to peace while responding to emerging threats and challenges. Pakistan underscored the importance of strengthening peacekeeping efforts, ensuring effective monitoring mechanisms, and promoting political stability in regions affected by conflict. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting peacekeeping operations and fostering international cooperation to achieve lasting peace and security.
