During the meeting, discussions were held on Pakistan-U.S. relations, matters of mutual interest, and enhancing bilateral cooperation. The meeting also included talks regarding Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s recent visit to the United States. “My meetings with members of the U.S. Congress during the visit were highly positive,” said Mohsin Naqvi. He further stated that detailed discussions took place on formulating a joint strategy against terrorism and strengthening bilateral relations. “Terrorism is an international issue, and the global community must work together to combat it,” Mohsin Naqvi emphasized. He added that Pakistan and the United States share excellent relations that span several decades. “The U.S. cooperation in enhancing the capacity of Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies is of great significance,” he noted. Mohsin Naqvi expressed hope that Pakistan-U.S. relations would receive new momentum during President Donald Trump’s tenure. He also invited the Acting U.S. Ambassador to participate in Islamabad’s Jashn-e-Baharan festival.
