Islamabad: Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi visits the Chinese Embassy, meets Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi expressed his condolences over the incident in Karachi where two Chinese nationals were injured by gunfire from a security guard. He conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the injured Chinese citizens and their families. Minister Naqvi informed the Chinese Ambassador about the details of the incident and the progress of the investigation. Minister Naqvi expressed full solidarity with the Chinese Ambassador, the Chinese government, and the families of the injured Chinese nationals, wishing them a speedy recovery. “We are fully aligned with China’s vision of integrating development and security,” said Mohsin Naqvi. “Ensuring the safety of Chinese citizens and projects is our top priority,” he added. Naqvi emphasized that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the security of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. “Security measures are being strengthened to provide a safe and secure environment for Chinese nationals,” said Mohsin Naqvi. “Those involved in the incident will be brought to justice,” he assured. He reiterated that Pakistan and China are “iron brothers and steadfast partners.” Both sides agreed to formulate a joint strategy to prevent such incidents in the future. The Chinese Ambassador remarked, “The friendship between Pakistan and China continues to grow, and there has been significant progress in practical cooperation.” “In this context, a secure and stable environment for cooperation is extremely important,” the Chinese Ambassador added. The Ambassador further stated that China is ready to further enhance bilateral security cooperation and assist in strengthening Pakistani institutions’ capabilities. The Chinese Ambassador thanked Minister Naqvi for the excellent arrangements made for the visit of the Chinese Prime Minister to Pakistan. The Ambassador also inquired about the health of President Asif Ali Zardari, expressing prayers for his speedy recovery and best wishes. The Chinese Ambassador noted that Chinese President Xi Jinping had sent a letter to the President of Pakistan, extending his best wishes for his health.
